Faena Hotel Miami Beach Named Number One Hotel in America

Miami

Faena Hotel Miami Beach Voted Number One Property in America and one of the top hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2017 Readers Choice Awards.

I am humbled by this recognition and thank all of the people who, by my side, have made this vision possible. Our intention has always been to create extraordinary experiences for our guests, elevating them to other realms of the self and exposing them to the highest forms of culture, art and design. Creating this hotel has been like living in a lucid dream. I thoughtfully mixed and layered in it all the things I love and most care more for, all the things I learned from my travels and life experiences, making them accessible and inspiring for people to live better and more creative lives.

–Alan Faena

Over 300,000 readers submitted millions of ratings and tens of thousands of comments, with the results awarding Faena Hotel Miami Beach a top spot in the World’s Best list, an outstanding accolade highlighting the team’s dedication to providing unforgettable experiences. Faena’s mission remains committed to transforming the ordinary to the extraordinary, an intention which is reflected in this remarkable award.

Faena Hotel Miami Beach is both invention and reinvention. Formerly the historic Saxony Hotel, each of its 169 guestrooms and suites were designed by Alan Faena in collaboration with Baz Lurhmann and Catherine Martin. Once known as the “Queen of Collins Avenue,” the hotel reigned in the 50’s and 60’s as the lodestar of glamour, where Hollywood icons Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin performed and dazzled the crowds, and it continues to draw people from across the world today. In addition to its stunning design, Faena Hotel Miami Beach is home to Tierra Santa Healing House, Los Fuegos by Chef Francis Mallmann, Pao by James Bear Award Winner Paul Qui, and Faena Theater.

Every single one of Faena District’s elements defies convention while promoting cultural inclusiveness. Faena District is the result of a collaboration between some of the most talented and creative minds who continue to challenge existing concepts of culture, entertainment and community. By integrating art, architecture, nature and technology, Faena District has changed the physical and cultural landscape of Miami Beach forever. In addition to Faena Hotel Miami Beach, Faena District is home to the Faena Forum, a pioneering new cultural venue, designed by Rem Koolhaas / OMA, that serves as a platform and innovative incubator for the world’s creative industries. Faena District is also comprised of Faena Bazaar and Faena Park, designed by Rem Koolhaas / OMA, Faena House, designed in collaboration with Foster + Partners, and Casa Faena.
