aena is proud to receive five prestigious AHEAD Americas Awards for excellence in hospitality design and experience for its Faena Miami Beach development at the AHEAD Americas ceremony held at the Perez Art Museum Miami in June 2017.
Alan Faena, founder and creative visionary of Faena group, was awarded with the Outstanding Contribution Award. Each year the award recognizes the outstanding contribution of an individual or individuals to the hospitality design industry. Previous winners of the Outstanding Contribution award in Europe and Asia have included Ian Schrager, Tim & Kit Kemp (Firmdale), Alex Calderwood (Ace Hotel), Jaya Ibrahim, Adrian Zecha (Aman Resorts), and Sir Terence Conran.
Faena also received AHEAD Americas Awards for Faena Miami Beach for the coveted ‘Hotel of the Year’ and Resort Hotel for Faena Hotel Miami Beach, Event Spaces for Faena Forum and Spa and Wellness for Tierra Santa.
Judged by an independent panel of hospitality experts comprised of the industry’s leading architects, designers, owners, operators and developers, AHEAD awards celebrate hospitality projects that are both aesthetically impressive and proven to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Hosted by Sleeper Magazine, AHEAD will culminate its awards with a Global Biennale in January 2019, in which the winners of eight regional heats will be judged once again to determine the worldwide winners in each category.
