Faena’s guests will be among the first to sample a new shipment of limited-run, meticulously-crafted tequilas in the hotel’s peerlessly glamorous Living Room.
Exclusive editions include Patron en Lalique tequila, of which only 500 bottles have ever been produced, Avion Extra Anejo Reserve, a tequila aged over 44 months and served in crystal cups, and Casa Dragones Joven Sipping Tequila, a small batch tequila that combines blanco and anejo for a clean, bright finish. These smooth spirits are painstakingly prepared by artisans and crafted to be sipped and savored slowly.
The pièce de résistance, however, is Faena’s own Avion Faena Barrel Select Reposado. Hand-selected by Faena Founder Alan Faena and Tequila Avion Founder Ken Austin, this tequila takes high-altitude-grown, single-source agave, which is slow roasted for three days in a brick oven before it is slow filtered and aged for six months to a year in oak barrels to infuse it with flavor. While this unique tequila takes twice the industry standard to age, the deliciously smooth finished product is a fruity and floral spirit with top notes of oak and vanilla, proof positive that good things come to those who wait.
