Faena Jazz Series with Sammy Figueroa & Special Guests, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Aymee Nuviola

Faena Theater is thrilled to welcome back famed and multiple Grammy nominee percussionist Sammy Figueroa as he returns to the stage for a special tribute to his father, the 1950’s romantic singer Charlie Figueroa, with songs from Sammy’s new album “Searching For A Memory”.
Joining Sammy will be the distinguished multiple Grammy-winning Cuban pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Cuban singer, Latin Grammy winner Amyee Nuviola. Together they will be playing the music from Sammy's latest album "Searching For A Memory", which presents the romantic boleros of Sammy's father in new modern Latin jazz arrangements.
The recording and this concert have partially been made possible by a Creative Residency grant from Jazz Road, a SouthArts initiative funded by the Doris Duke Foundation.
