Faena Theater is thrilled to welcome four-time Latin Grammy nominee and virtuoso 7-string guitar player, Yamandu Costa for an intimate concert on April 20.
At a young age, Yamandu achieved international acclaim for his awe-inspiring talent and credited to reviving Brazilian guitar music with his diverse range of styles like chorinho, bossa nova, milonga, tango, samba and chamamé; making it difficult to categorize his music into one single genre.
With an impressive repertoire of collaborators like Bobby McFerrin, Richard Galliano, Doug de Vries, Gilberto Gil, Toquinho, João Bosco, Ney Matogrosso, Marisa Monte, Renato Borghetti and others, Yamandu will perform a breathtaking solo set of Latin American pieces, original work and new songs.
