Faena unveils a sanctuary shaped by ancient South American healing philosophies— where shamanic traditions, sacred rituals, holistic therapies, and a profound connection to nature converge to create an immersive experience devoted to restoration, balance, and spiritual wellbeing.
Following more than a decade of success in Miami, Tierra Santa Healing House arrives in New York with an immersive wellness concept rooted in ancient healing rituals, shamanic traditions, and holistic therapies inspired by the landscapes and spiritual practices of the Andes, the Amazon, the Pampas, and the Atlantic coast.
Conceived as the spiritual heart of the hotel, the 17,000-square-foot sanctuary merges indigenous wisdom with contemporary wellness through custom treatments incorporating native ingredients, acupuncture, sound healing, color therapy, and advanced rejuvenation technologies. The philosophy behind the spa traces back to Alan Faena’s years spent on the coast of José Ignacio, where long walks by the ocean, meditation, movement, and gatherings with friends shaped an approach to wellbeing centered on reconnection, ritual, and nature.
That spirit comes to life with an expansive Thermal Sanctuary, featuring a traditional hammam, steam room, warm and saltwater pools, saunas, cold plunge, and relaxation lounge. Inspired by the healing power of water, heat, steam, and ritual, the experience is designed to restore balance and awaken the senses. Designed with color, texture, and natural beauty in mind, the sanctuary features floral murals by Juan Gatti and a sitespecific hand-cut paper installation by Manuel Ameztoy, creating an atmosphere that feels both vibrant and meditative—a contemporary urban retreat devoted to restoration, presence, and transformation.
