Resonant Rhythms

In The Living Room, music reflects the soul of Miami’s vibrant energy. Resident acts from Alfredo Rivero’s American Gipsy to music from Liset Alea, a founding member of the Parisian bossa nova band Nouvelle Vague, captivate audiences on a weekly basis

American Gipsy Performing

Enriched by Parisian influences, Rivero’s ensemble embodies a fusion of flamenco, jazz, and the timeless melodies of the famed musical collective The Gipsy Kings, where he served as the band leader during their U.S. and Latin America tours. A guitar virtuoso, Rivero has collaborated with Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, and Chico Castillo. “Their live performances are nothing short of mesmerizing,” said Richie Hell, Faena’s Music Director. “The band effortlessly blends traditional gipsy melodies with inventive interpretations of iconic American hits, creating an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and exhilarating. Whether they’re enchanting us with the timeless rhythms of ‘Bamboleo’ or putting a gipsy twist on ‘Hotel California,’ each song resonates deeply with our diverse and discerning audience.”

Musical artist Liset Alea also graces the stage with her fusion of bossa nova, exotica, electronic beats, and worldly pop influences. “Liset’s music transcends genres,” said Hell. Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Alea is known for her intimate performances, mesmerizing audiences with acoustic ballads and electronic tracks alike. Her repertoire spans a spectrum that showcases her versatility and artistic depth, ensuring each set is a unique exploration of sound and emotion. Her ethereal voice effortlessly shifts between English, French, and Spanish, marrying minimalist tones with Latin rhythms to create a sophisticated yet soulful sound.

For the summer season, guests can enjoy “Golden Hour Serenades,” a three-hour musical compilation on Spotify. Meticulously curated by Hell, the playlist is more than just a collection of songs—it’s a reflection of the vibrant spirit that defines Faena and the eclectic pulse of Miami. Each track has been carefully selected to harmonize with the elegant lines and bold creativity of Faena, creating a symphony of sound that enhances a golden-hour experience by the pool, beach, or bar at Faena. “It’s another way for our guests to experience Faena and recall memorable moments of their stay long after they’re gone.”

In keeping with The Living Room’s commitment to providing the best in entertainment, Envee returns to Faena as October’s upcoming resident performer!

Where Fire and Flavor Ignite

"What makes Los Fuegos truly extraordinary is our commitment to the ancient art of cooking with fire,” explained Yassine Belkady, the restaurant’s manager. “We use no electricity whatsoever—just fire, wood ovens, and tradition” Everything has that distinctive char, those bold, nearly burnt flavors that taste almost primal. “When you dine here, you can literally smell the wood and rosemary in the air,” he added. The restaurant’s setting matches its culinary panache. By day, the veranda transforms into an airy ambience when its retractable roof opens to Miami’s brilliant skies. Guests enjoy lunch while overlooking the property’s stunning pool, creating what Belkady called “a completely different experience than any other hotel or restaurant in Miami.”

Beneath the Tree of Life

Mornings here unfold slowly while guests sip on fresh-pressed juices—like the South Beach, a tropical elixir of coconut water, local citrus, mango, and strawberry, or a vitamin-rich Green Juice packed with spinach, kale, ginger, cucumber, celery and green apple. “The tranquility makes it really special,” noted Joshua Rodriguez, Director of Nightlife. “It’s a place where guests can grab a coffee, a light bite and relax or catch up on some emails.” A menu of delicious appetizers is great for snacking throughout the day, including crispy artichokes with sesame yogurt and sourdough breadcrumbs; prime rib empanadas with llajua sauce; and a vegan option of steamed veggie rice with sweet potato and broccoli. Come golden hour, the energy shifts. On weekends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, resident DJs set the mood as the bar transitions into a laidback sundowner haunt. The CopaCabana cocktail, a tropical indulgence of banana and apricot liqueur, coconut cream, allspice, and Bulleit Rye, is a guest favorite. “People order it because it’s served in a Faena-branded coconut, but it’s the taste that makes them request another one,” said Rodriguez.
