Touring Antarctica in a drone (video)

Enchant, Inspire

Cruising the Antarctic landscapes from the air is a real visual massage.

At the extreme south of the planet, where few desires reach, is a calm paradise. Antarctica is a kingdom of mirrors of water and colossi of ice, of slicing temperatures and grandiose blues.

Harnessing the airborne agility of a drone, Swedish filmmaker Kalle Ljung has documented the tenuous landscapes of the continent and condensed them into eight minutes of video to create an emotive panorama of those lands.

The material that comprises Antarctica was gathered during a twenty-day flight by Ljung in 2014, departing from Ushuaia, Argentina, to Puerto Williams, Chile, and from there, after circling Cape Horn, to Melchor Island in Antarctic, via Drake Passage.
