A Holiday Away

Roll out the red carpet for your family this holiday season in Faena’s dreamy collection of suites or the exclusive two-story penthouse with unrivaled views of Miami Beach.

Kids Holiday at Faena

Perfectly set up for families, kids from six to sixteen can make lasting holiday memories at Faena Play. Thanksgiving will bring a host of new activities rooted in art, culinary, theater, sports, and wellness experiences that will be on offer throughout the holidays. Budding chefs can shadow our culinary team in the kitchen to decorate cookies and cupcakes, make an ice cream sundae, and learn how to prepare pizza and pasta. Or they can spend an afternoon with Faena mixologists to stir, shake and pour delicious mocktails with unique flavors or blend tropical smoothies with locally sourced ingredients.

It’s never too early for kids to learn the art of self-care. At the spa, kids can take super brain yoga classes and learn how to play with prana in therapeutic energy sessions led by expert therapists. On the beach, sandcastle building, beach bubbles and art projects make for a fun afternoon in the sun, as do friendly volleyball competitions, cornhole tournaments and limbo contests. Take over one of Faena’s multibedroom suites with dreamy ocean views and wrap-around terraces to enjoy the blissful salty breezes that roll off the Atlantic this time of year. Suites come with spacious living rooms and six-seat dining tables where the family can gather for private meals, enjoy holiday movies and spend quality time with one another.

Decadent festive feasts can be had at Los Fuegos, where live-fire cooking reigns supreme, or at Pao, where Asian twists on traditional holiday meals take guests on a sybaritic journey through a menu of unexpected flavors. In the evenings, kids can head to the screening room for pajamas-and-popcorn movie nights and enjoy post-flick hot chocolate and ‘smores, while parents let loose with craft cocktails and live music performances in the Living Room or catch Faena Theater’s latest show Allura, a multiverse of Miami brought to life through the showstopping vocals of Rocky Lanes and Cuban guitarist Alberto Torres.

Where Fire and Flavor Ignite

"What makes Los Fuegos truly extraordinary is our commitment to the ancient art of cooking with fire,” explained Yassine Belkady, the restaurant’s manager. “We use no electricity whatsoever—just fire, wood ovens, and tradition” Everything has that distinctive char, those bold, nearly burnt flavors that taste almost primal. “When you dine here, you can literally smell the wood and rosemary in the air,” he added. The restaurant’s setting matches its culinary panache. By day, the veranda transforms into an airy ambience when its retractable roof opens to Miami’s brilliant skies. Guests enjoy lunch while overlooking the property’s stunning pool, creating what Belkady called “a completely different experience than any other hotel or restaurant in Miami.”

Beneath the Tree of Life

Mornings here unfold slowly while guests sip on fresh-pressed juices—like the South Beach, a tropical elixir of coconut water, local citrus, mango, and strawberry, or a vitamin-rich Green Juice packed with spinach, kale, ginger, cucumber, celery and green apple. “The tranquility makes it really special,” noted Joshua Rodriguez, Director of Nightlife. “It’s a place where guests can grab a coffee, a light bite and relax or catch up on some emails.” A menu of delicious appetizers is great for snacking throughout the day, including crispy artichokes with sesame yogurt and sourdough breadcrumbs; prime rib empanadas with llajua sauce; and a vegan option of steamed veggie rice with sweet potato and broccoli. Come golden hour, the energy shifts. On weekends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, resident DJs set the mood as the bar transitions into a laidback sundowner haunt. The CopaCabana cocktail, a tropical indulgence of banana and apricot liqueur, coconut cream, allspice, and Bulleit Rye, is a guest favorite. “People order it because it’s served in a Faena-branded coconut, but it’s the taste that makes them request another one,” said Rodriguez.
