Hyper-Customized Healing

At Tierra Santa Healing House, ancient wisdom and modern wellness converge in a series of deeply transformative body treatments, all of which can be personalized to a guest’s specific needs.

FaenaSpa 70

“Our ethos on how we approach all of our spa services is to incorporate healing arts into our services, which takes special note of the guest’s energy at that particular moment and adjusts the treatment to suit what the guest needs,” said Spa Director Charlotte Prescott. “That can be anything from changing the temperature, changing the music, changing the pace of the service, or changing the blend of essential oils.” For example, spa therapists educate guests on the use of essential oils for different times of day: black pepper, ginger and cedarwood are more energizing for morning treatments while rose geranium, lavender and chamomile are more calming in the evening.

Touch therapies like relaxing and deep tissue massages can be personalized with CBD balms, aromatherapy, vibrational sound therapy and Pranic Healing (a non-touch modality used to remove energetic blockages and enhance overall vitality). Unique Healing Arts therapies like the signature Espiritu Sanador—which blends the mystical healing properties of palo santo, Pranic Healing, and Nepalese singing bowls— can be combined with off-menu treatments like lymphatic massage. Following energy purification is the perfect time to add this light, yet effective therapeutic therapy, noted Prescott. “The lymphatic system is responsible for transporting the immune cells throughout the body, which in turn fights illness.” When one’s lymphatic system is sluggish, fluid can build up and cause swelling. Using gentle rhythmic hand motions, practitioners encourage the flow of fluid towards the different lymphs and back into the bloodstream, which improves circulation and detoxifies the body. “We all want to boost our immune system, particularly when traveling or dealing with seasonal changes, so it’s a great complement to any treatment.”

Natural Lift

Tierra Santa’s menu of advanced skincare treatments is performed by highly-trained estheticians using state-of-the-art technology and trusted brands including Biologique Recherche. The latest debut on the spa menu is the new buccal facial, an intraoral massage that sculpts and tones the face from the inside out. A favorite among celebrities and high-end spa-goers, the buccal facial defines the jawline and cheekbones while boosting circulation and draining excess fluid to reduce puffiness and dark circles. The massage technique uses pressure points within the mouth to stimulate the muscles and the ligaments in the buccal area between the cheeks and the jowls, which helps tighten and contour the area. “It’s great for a natural lift, but it also eases tension,” said Charlotte Prescott, the director of the spa. “For anybody who has issues with TMJ, it’s not uncommon to feel super relaxed after this service, not just in the mouth, but in the body overall.” The kneading of the inner cheek and jaw muscles also stimulates collagen production, resulting in a natural healthy glow. “It’s a great service for guests looking for a rejuvenating effect that can last several days or even weeks, but don’t want to use any technology in their treatment.”

Where Fire and Flavor Ignite

"What makes Los Fuegos truly extraordinary is our commitment to the ancient art of cooking with fire,” explained Yassine Belkady, the restaurant’s manager. “We use no electricity whatsoever—just fire, wood ovens, and tradition” Everything has that distinctive char, those bold, nearly burnt flavors that taste almost primal. “When you dine here, you can literally smell the wood and rosemary in the air,” he added. The restaurant’s setting matches its culinary panache. By day, the veranda transforms into an airy ambience when its retractable roof opens to Miami’s brilliant skies. Guests enjoy lunch while overlooking the property’s stunning pool, creating what Belkady called “a completely different experience than any other hotel or restaurant in Miami.”

Beneath the Tree of Life

Mornings here unfold slowly while guests sip on fresh-pressed juices—like the South Beach, a tropical elixir of coconut water, local citrus, mango, and strawberry, or a vitamin-rich Green Juice packed with spinach, kale, ginger, cucumber, celery and green apple. “The tranquility makes it really special,” noted Joshua Rodriguez, Director of Nightlife. “It’s a place where guests can grab a coffee, a light bite and relax or catch up on some emails.” A menu of delicious appetizers is great for snacking throughout the day, including crispy artichokes with sesame yogurt and sourdough breadcrumbs; prime rib empanadas with llajua sauce; and a vegan option of steamed veggie rice with sweet potato and broccoli. Come golden hour, the energy shifts. On weekends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, resident DJs set the mood as the bar transitions into a laidback sundowner haunt. The CopaCabana cocktail, a tropical indulgence of banana and apricot liqueur, coconut cream, allspice, and Bulleit Rye, is a guest favorite. “People order it because it’s served in a Faena-branded coconut, but it’s the taste that makes them request another one,” said Rodriguez.
