“You’re here to feel the beat, lose yourself in the rhythm, and embrace the moment.”

Rocky Lanes

From the golden age of Motown to the iconic sounds of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s, and today’s chart topping hits, this immersive show puts powerhouse starlet Rocky Lanes front and center as the emcee, wowing crowds with her larger-than-life vocals. “Retro promises a journey through the decades, filled with rhythm, nostalgia, and soul,” said Anthony Magliano, Founder and Executive Creative Director of Quixotic, an award-winning performance collective who produced the show in collaboration with Faena. “This show moves people because good music hits the soul,” said Lanes. “It brings together all ages and races.” Set in the intimate, red-velvetdraped Faena Theater, RETRO comes to life with a stellar cast of musicians and dancers led by Lanes. The show seamlessly blends bold fashion, impressive choreography, and soulful classics and contemporary beats. Lanes takes audiences from The Supremes’ smooth harmonies and James Brown’s electrifying grooves to the disco fever of the ’70s, the synthpop energy of the ’80s, and today’s modern anthems—all reimagined with Miami’s signature flair. Lanes won over Miami audiences during her tenure as the star of Allura, Quixotic’s rock-and-roll cabaret featuring Cuban guitarist Alberto Torres. “When you walk into my party, you leave your problems at the door,” explained Lanes. “You’re here to feel the beat, lose yourself in the rhythm, and embrace the moment.”
