Faena Jazz Series with Danielle Angrand Featuring Shelly Berg
Faena Live welcomes rising Haitian-American vocalist Danielle Angrand and acclaimed pianist Shelly Berg to Faena Theater for an intimate evening of jazz and soul.
Faena Live continues the ninth annual Faena Jazz Series with an intimate evening of jazz and soul featuring rising Haitian-American vocalist Danielle Angrand, joined by acclaimed pianist Shelly Berg.
Originally trained in classical voice, Angrand has grown to embrace jazz, soul and contemporary music, using her voice as a means of storytelling and self-expression. A National YoungArts winner, she has studied through programs including the Morgan State University Gospel Choir and Schmidt Vocal Arts, and is currently continuing her studies at Temple University.
Inspired by artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Toto Bissainthe, Lizz Wright, Dianne Reeves and Shirley Verrett, Angrand brings together the richness of jazz with the emotion and individuality of contemporary music, creating songs that feel honest, expressive and connected to the people and stories behind them.
Together, Angrand and Berg bring warmth, honesty and emotional depth to Faena Theater for an evening that celebrates the next generation of jazz.
